An invisible environmental robot is a system that recognizes ever-changing human states based on input provided by a group of sensors such as cameras situated in an environment. An important role of such systems is to help create a comfortable space for human users. To implement invisible robots, especially the functions related to people image analysis, it is essential to make them capable of detecting people in video images, detecting faces, tracking their movements and recognizing human activities. As an approach to people image analysis, this paper introduces methods for detecting humans and visualizing human motions.
